The fruit contains nutritional elements such as vitamin C, vitamin B1, and citric acid, while the peel naturally includes polymethoxyflavonoids such as nobiletin and tangeretin. The extract appears as a light yellow to yellow‑brown liquid with a faint characteristic odor.
