COATSOME MS-8181LS (DOPS-Na), or 1,2-Dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine, sodium salt, is a ≥97% pure synthetic phospholipid. Featuring C18:1 fatty acids (18 carbon atoms, 1 double bond, oleic acid) at both the sn-1 and sn-2 positions, DOPS-Na provides a negatively charged phosphoserine headgroup, contributing to enhanced membrane flexibility and promoting electrostatic stabilization within lipid-based formulations.
