COATSOME MC-4060 (MPPC), or 1-Myristoyl-2-palmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, is a ≥99% pure synthetic phospholipid. Featuring a C14:0 fatty acid (14 carbon atoms, no double bonds, myristic acid) at the sn-1 position and a C16:0 fatty acid (16 carbon atoms, no double bonds, palmitic acid) at the sn-2 position, MPPC offers an asymmetric lipid structure that provides a balance between membrane fluidity and stability, making it suitable for advanced liposomal and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations.

With a phase transition temperature (Tc) of approximately 35°C, MPPC enables flexible membrane behavior around physiological temperatures, supporting the development of versatile delivery systems.
